Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
GENERAL
The contract between the parent/young person and the tutor begins when they complete the enrolment form, following the free assessment. The enrolment form gives the tutor the necessary details required to enrol the student in the online tuition system database and to initiate contact with the parent during the enrolment period.
At this point the tutor will prepare a bespoke learning programme for the student (initially based on their assessment results) and will contact the parent to inform them of a starting date/time, future lesson dates, the website address, along with the username and password login they will need to start the online tuition lessons.
FEES AND PAYMENTS
The fee and payment details will be emailed to the parent prior to the first lesson, and a payment is expected prior to each tuition session beginning. The fee is for an hourly lesson and is non-refundable, but if adequate notice is given the lesson may be rescheduled to a future date.
CANCELLATION OF SCHEDULED LESSONS BY THE PARENT
The following cancellation rules apply:

If more than 24 hours notice is given by email or text, the lesson can be rescheduled

If between 8-24 hours notice is given by email or text, 50% of the fee will be charged

If less than 8 hours notice is given by email or text, the whole fee will be charged
CANCELLATION OF A SCHEDULED LESSON BY THE TUTOR
On the rare occasion a lesson is cancelled by the tutor, the fee will be waived or allocated to a future lesson if already paid for. If technical problems occur during the lesson the fee will charged on a pro rata basis of £10 for every 20 minutes of tuition received.
NOTICE TO END TUITION
Either party, parent or tutor, is required to give at least 2 lessons notice in writing if they wish to terminate the agreed online tuition sessions.
DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
The online tuition system database is administered in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018. It is not shared with any third parties. If you wish to have your data removed from the database, please notify the tutor in writing.
