Hello, I'm Deborah Toulson.

I have had a passion for teaching maths since I was a young child. I always wanted to be a teacher and at the age of 7 would sit my dolls and teddies in a semi-circle in front of me, take the class register and give them sums to do on pieces of paper. I would use pieces of pasta to help them add and take away.

At school I had caring and patient teachers who took time to explain maths to me and this ignited my passion to learn more and become a teacher myself.

​

I specialised in mathematics whilst teacher training and took an advanced maths specialist courses once I had qualified. During my career I have taught all age ranges and risen from class teacher and then Deputy-head to being Headteacher of a primary school.

31 years on I want to share my enthusiasm and passion with students online. I know I can help them discover the same love of maths that I have always had and in turn show them what an amazing subject it is.
